A study on Analgesic, Anti-inflammatory Action and female cancer cells of Lee Hwa Tang water Extract ( LHTE )

Abstract

|
The purpose of this research was to investigate effect of Lee Hwa Tang water extract(LHTE) on the analgesic, anti-inflammatory action and the proliferation of human female cancer cells. LHTE inhibited the writhing syndrome induced by acetic acid and the cotton pellet granuloma formation. But LHTE did not inhibit the permeability of evans blue into peritoneal cavity and the mouse paw edema induced by histamine. LHTE did not affect the proliferation of Balb/c 3T3 cells. LHTE inhibited the proliferation of MCF-7 cells, but did not affect the proliferation of HeLa and SK-OV3 cells.
These results suggest that LHTE has the analgesic action and the inhibitory action of granuloma, formation, nd the cytotoxicity of MCF-7 cells.
